I enjoyed the evening at Recalibration, a pop-up exhibition of recent artworks by Paul Mericle. The exhibited artworks are the result of a collaborative project whereby the artist invited the public to provide creative constraints for subject matter, material and color, which were then “recalibrated” to create the works on view. The works feature abstracted figurative imagery, bold color, and fractured materials applied to produce a sculptural relief.
The exhibition was held in a pop-up gallery installed at the CJ Foreign Car garage, located in Silver Spring, Maryland for one night only, June 28, from 7p.m.-12 a.m.
